Tyre Hill House is a specialist Family Assessment Centre in Worcestershire, dedicated to supporting care experienced parents. We adopt a strength based therapeutic approach with the aim of empowering parents to safely care for their children in the long term. We believe with the right support everyone is capable of change and everyone deserves the opportunity to make those changes.

Accommodation for families

About the house

Tyre Hill house is a large property set in private grounds in Malvern, Worcestershire which can accommodate up to eight families with extensive indoor and outdoor facilities. The house has been completely renovated to provide a safe, warm, and homely environment enabling families to quickly feel at ease.

Families will have their own apartments with a kitchenette, built-in wardrobes, ensuite bathroom plus the use of a large communal kitchen, utility room, three lounges, playroom, and a sensory room. The property has extensive grounds which can be enjoyed by families throughout the year.

Parenting assessment

The purpose of Tyre Hill House

At Tyre Hill House we specialise in completing high-quality parenting assessments for care-experienced families that are evidence-based, focused and clear to ensure they present a fair and balanced assessment of a parent’s capacity to safely care for their child. The Parenting Assessment is undertaken over a 12-week period with weekly updates and regular reviews to monitor progress and enabling areas of concern to be identified and plans/interventions to be reviewed in a timely manner.

Referrals from professionals

We undertake high-quality, evidenced-based parenting assessments, where we collate and analyse information from various sources, without judgment such as direct observations, group work, direct work and feedback on interventions. Our framework is founded on the main areas of the ‘Assessment Framework for Children in Need’.
